Wednesday, July 29, 2015, SAN DIEGO, CA. – IntelleXual Entertainment, a San Diego based production company, announces the start of pre-production on the company’s next short film; MIDNIGHT REST.
David S. Dawson will direct the film from a screenplay he wrote. Newcomer and Canadian actress Simryn Fenby will play the lead role of Mary. Mary is driving through the night to get to San Diego as she is desperately trying to reconnect with her estranged daughter after a several year absence and in the face of resistance from her ex-husband. Tired, frustrated and emotionally drained she pulls into a highway rest stop to collect herself and finds herself vulnerable and alone and squarely in the sights of a murderer.
The film is the second short film project from IntelleXual Entertainment this year with their previous dramatic effort, THINGS HAPPEN, currently on the festival circuit.
Bryan Keith Davis, Theresa Dawson Davis, Diego Robles, Carla Van Wagoner and Simryn Fenby are co-producers of the project. Boman Modine serves as associate producer. Currently attached for musical composition are former THINGS HAPPEN collaborators Romain Zante and Solo Jung-Yi Wang.
Production of MIDNIGHT REST is anticipated for Aug. 29th and 30th in San Diego, CA.
